WOOD RICHARDSON SUPPORT HOMELESS CHARITY SASH
Simon Pirie, Sales Manager, Wood Richardson, proudly presented the award for ‘Attention to Detail’ to winner ‘Le Cochon Aveugle’ at the 2016 SASH Eat.Drink.Give? Awards.
The ‘Eat.Drink.Give?’ campaign helps raise both money and profile for the local charity which helps prevent young people from becoming homeless. Working across York, North and East Yorkshire, SASH run an emergency accommodation scheme, ‘Nighstop’ and a longer-term Supported Lodgings scheme for 16-25 year olds.
Wood Richardson have been supporting SASH for the past couple of years through in-kind sponsorship by printing their distinctive house shaped brochure and other items including the cards placed on Restaurant tables and leaflets that waiters handed out during the campaign completely free of charge.
The campaign, which ran from 21st November to 2nd January, sought support from local, independent restaurants to support SASH by adding a voluntary £1 donation to every table’s bill. The campaign was successful in raising £10,000 and Le Cochon Aveugle won the ‘Attention to Detail’ award for really taking the time to explain to customers about the work of SASH.
